I'm completely exhausted!!! My baby Aiden is 7 months now and won't sleep through the night...awww! He goes to bed around 8:30 or 9pm right after I feed him a jar of food and a small bottle. You'd think that would keep him full until at least 5 or 6am....think again. He's been waking up two or three times during the night....every night! He wakes up screaming and won't stop until I put a bottle in his mouth. This has been going on for at least 4 straight weeks. He's at the age when babies are teething, but I don't see any signs of little teeth coming through. Last night he was really fussy before bed, so I gave him some Tylenol. I thought to myself, maybe he is teething and I just don't know what to look for in his mouth. Either the tylenol didn't work or it wore off, because Aiden woke up at 2:45 this morning screaming. So I changed his diaper and made a bottle. JR feed him and put him back to sleep......in our bed! That's like not going back to sleep at all. I never actually sleep because i have to scoot to the edge of the bed and make sure I don't do anything to wake him.
Next thing I know JR is whispering at me to wake up because it's 5:35am. Like that's gonna get me up, I'm used to the alarm going off for a few minutes. Then all of a sudden JR is shaking me telling me it's 6:07am.....in other words "really late!" So I jump out of bed and immediatley get in the shower, which I never do first. I always go down stairs poor a cup of coffee and watch the news for 20 minutes. Not today! I had an hour and 15 mins to get three poeple ready for the day. Talk about stressful.....I hate being late for work. So I'm running around the house like a crazy women and I go in my room to figure out what I'm gonna wear and what do I see.....my husband and my dog soo cozy in the bed still sleeping. Man was I jealous. No biggy though, I managed to get everything done in the nick of time. Mom picked Devyn up at 7:30, I left the house at 7:45, dropped Aiden off at Erin's by 7:55 and made it into work only 6 minutes after the hour. Wooh! What a crazy morning....did I mention this is what it's like every other morning...hahaha! The craziness of working full time and raising two boys :)

I'm so happy you put up some pics! Your boys are super handsome! Sounds like a rough morning. I remember at around 6-7 months Caitlyn started waking back up in the middel of the night and it was also right when I had returned to work and I was also exhausted and crabby. It sounds like you're not crabby like I was so just hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHi Cassie,
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog yesterday. My mom is a blogger I usually just read hers but decided to check out other blogs and came across yours. I find your loving attitude refreshing. And I remember those days of sleepless nights. My daughter will be 23yr. she has a son 2yrs. and a girl on the way due May 21st. She married her bf too. My son is 16yrs. still at home of course. We love close to each other, actually she is the office manager for our construction company, and I babysit my grandson while she works. I love that arrangement!! I look forward to more posts. And lovely pictures of your family!!
Smiles,
Oma Jill
