Family photo shoot

On Sunday the four of us ventured off to the Kelley Farm in Boney Lake to have our family photos taken by Corliss Photography. The weather was great and we went in the evening so there was a really pretty sunset. The boys did a really good job, they kept it together for an hour and a half. It really helped that Eric and Kali made it a fun experience for the both of them. We all really enjoyed ourselves. It was fun to walk around and see all the different areas of the farm. Devyn loved running all over the place...he went on a rope swing, climbed on a tractor and got to see some horses. Oh and after all that rolling around and running through the grass we dicovered that Devyn most likely has grass allergies. The poor thing had a runny nose and was sneezing like crazy by the time we were done. Aiden was pretty queit for most of the time....there was alot for him to take in, but we got some super cute smiles out of him. I can't wait to see the photos when they're all done. We should get them in about a week, I'll post some when I get them.

A call to 911!

Yesterday morning I had to make my first official 911 call. I witnessed a very disturbing situation on my way to work. I had just dropped the boys off at my mom's house and was getting ready to pull out of the subdivision where my parents live. I looked across the street and there was a truck pulled off to the side of the road, a man was outside of the truck hitting at something in the back seat. I waited a minute to see what was going on...and that's when it happened, the legs of a young middle school girl came out of the truck and she was screaming for someone to call 911. I couldn't believe my eyes....the man was slamming the poor girl into the seat and telling her never to make him mad and all I could hear was the girl bagging her dad to stop and for someone to call 911 and help her. During all of this there was an older gentleman that came out of his house and was on the phone....I figured he was calling the police. There was also an older lady who had pulled of to the side of the road to see what was going on and a young girl waiting for a bus saw it all too.
I had to pull out of the subdivision because there were cars lining up behind me to get out. I felt horrible leaving, but there were two other people there and they had access to a phone. As I was driving away I immediately called 911....to my surprise, it rang at least 35 time and no one picked up. I couldn't believe it! I had an emergency and I couldn't report it. I waited a few minutes and tried again. A lady picked up after 3 rings....I explained the situation to her, gave her the location and type of vehicle (I didn't even think to get the license plate #). I told the lady that there was man who was on his phone, she reassured me that he had in fact called and reported the situation right before I did. I hope that the cops made it there before the man took his daughter anywhere. I feel so bad that I didn't stay to make sure everything was okay....thoughts have been running through my mind since the very second I heard the young girl call out for help. I can't stop thinking about the girl, I hope everything turned out okay.

Baby Boy is 10 months!

I can't believe that Aiden is going to be 1 in two months! Time has flown by sooo fast this year, it seems like Aiden was born just yesterday. It's different with your second child, there is so much going on all the time...you just get wrapped up in it all and before you know it your babies are big. With Devyn it seemed like it took forever for him to turn 1.

It's alot of fun to watch Aiden develop and change everyday. He is now scooting all over the place. He loves to bend one leg back behind him and then bring it back to the front and then do it again on the other leg. It's cute to watch. It's amazing how babies learn to move. He sometimes lifts up onto his hands and knees, but never actually does the crawling motion. He loves to stand...he hasn't mastered pulling himself up yet, but he loves when you hold his hands. Last night I put him down for bed and he wasn't happy about it. When I left the room he was crying. After about 3 minutes I went in to check on him and he was trying to pull himself up over the side of the crib. I couldn't believe my eyes....I think secretly he knows how to do alot of things, he just likes to act lazy around me so I'll do it for him :) So last night marked the official day that I have to now pull up the side of the crib so Aiden doesn't fall out. My baby boy is getting so big!

Happy 10 months baby boy aka chunka-munk :)

An Update

Yes, I know.....it's been way too long since I've posted something. So here is an update of the last two months.

During the Month of April:
We had a great Easter....went to an egg hunt in Milton with Devyn, Aiden and little George(Devyn's second cousin). It's soo cute to see Devyn and George together, it's almost like they're brothers. The week after Easter, JR, Devyn, Aiden, Toby and I all went to Seaside Oregon for a family trip during spring break. It was alot of fun and the weather was awsome! The day after we got home from Oregon we went to a Motorcross or Supercross show, I don't know, one of the two with Dane and Kendra. This was the first show we had ever been to. Devyn loved all the bikes and the cool jumps & flips the guys did. Aiden stayed at Grandma Michele and Grandpa Gary's house, I'm sure he had fun too.

During the Month of May:
The second Friday of May JR and I were in a bowling fundraiser with my parents at Chalet Bowl in Tacoma. It's a tradition now, this is our third year. We won last year, but weren't so fortunate this year. We'll have to step up our game for next year :) On May 9th we celebrated Abbie's 1st birthday(she's the boys' second cousin...little George's sister). Oh and don't let me forget....The boys and I took a trip out to the Campsite for Memorial Day weekend. My parents, Matt, Whitney & Xander and all the members of the Riggs family were there. It was soo great to see everyone :) I finally got to see baby Ashton....what a cutie! And of course little princess Caitlyn. I love going up to the campsite with the Riggs, It's one of my all time favorite things to do! It's been awhile since I've gone, so it was especially great this time.
Then last weekend JR had his wisdom teeth pulled. He did really good on the first day...everything was going well. The doctor called on the evening of the surgery....he told JR he could anything he wanted if his mouth felt fine, just not to eat chips or anything sharp. So he did! The next day and for the last few days he's had the most swollen face of ever seen...lol. It makes me chuckle everytime I look at him....poor guy :) Anyway, now we're up to speed.
It's June 2nd and the weather is beautiful!

On another note....the company I work for is getting kind of slow, so we are closing the office on Fridays to help save money. That doesn't affect me in anyway because I already have Friday's off :) But we can only work 32 hrs now and I was working 36. Anyway what it all comes down to is the company needs people to take time off unpaid until we get some good jobs. No one has piped up, So I volunteered. I'll been getting unemplyment, which will be more than my 32 hrs paid minus the cost of childcare. That means I'll officially be a stay-at-home mom for the whole months of July and August....wahoo!!! I can't wait to be at home with my boys :)

Markie's Going Away Party

Markie is my amazing "favorite cousin" and she has moved away to Arizona :( I will miss her very much, but I know this is the best situation for her right now. I absolutely love Markie with all of my heart......she's like the sister I never had. So of course we had to go out with a bang! On April 4th we had a going away party for her at the Longhorn in Auburn. It was alot of fun....a few of Markie's friends, a few of mine and JR's friends and Matt & Whitney & Clay were all there. Only good things can come from close friends and family and some alcohol.....hahaha!
Here's me and Fave...how could you not love this girl! We waited over an hour for Markie and her friends to get there.....can you tell we were so excited to see eachother?
This is all the girls, obviously a little tipsy :) Markie, Amy, Sarah, Anna, Me and Whitney.

And then there's Clay, I couldn't get that boy to smile for anything. All I wanted was a nice pic of brother and sister and this is what I got. Dork!

This is right before the pianist was going to play a dedication song for Markie. We told the guy to come up with a song on his own and that she was moving away. Markie was soo excited.....and then that's when it happened. The most rediculous so I've ever heard. I can't even really tell you what it was about, but what I got from it was there is a son or daughter that didn't like their dad and was singing all about it. Weird!

We all had a great time, even after the weird song. This is the pic right before we left, minus JR (who for some reason just couldn't wait to go to the bathroom) Clay and Josh (Markie's friend). It was nice to go out with family and friends and leave the kiddos with the grandparents :) Thanks mom and dad...you're the best. I'll never forget this night!

A hiking we will go!

So, it's been a while since if written. I've been wanting to tell all about our events from 3 weekends ago. It was when the weather was so beautiful for the first time. It was so nice out, so we decided to go on a family hike. We ventured down to the Dash Point State Park trails, it was so much fun. There were tons of people with there kids and dogs....even people on their bikes.
Here's Aiden checkin' out the scenery.....so cute in the backpack! He didn't actually smile that much, maybe he was just trying to take it all in :) This is his first real hike. We hiked these trails a couple times while Aiden was still in my belly. Here's Devyn on one of the big bridges in the trails. He kept saying the bridges were soo cool :) Devyn loves to go on the trails....he always runs way ahead of us. My husband is soo funny...I love him soo much. Can you tell he's having fun? He was, I swear....I'm sure he'd rather be riding his bike though.
This really made me nervous, but I had to get a picture of it. They look so cute together! Did I metion they were standing on a cliff looking down at what a huge drop it would be if they fell....scary!
And then of course taking a picture of myself. I can never get JR into taking pictures...he's totally not a camera guy, so I always have to get close ups at semi-okward angles. But here we are.....me and my bubba. I had an amazing time with my family out in the beautiful weather, I can't wait to do it again! I absolutely love the outdoors, especially hiking.

8:30pm to 6:15am

JR went to Alaska for the week, which usually means I have a really stressful week. I normally take care of all the kid stuff and JR cooks and cleans, but when he's gone I have to do it all. Monday was okay....Aiden only woke up two times on Sunday night. Then there was Monday night and he woke up at 11, 2, 5, and 6:30. I thought for sure that is what the whole week was going to be like....tiresome, stressful and busy. Then last night happened. We all had a wonderful night of uninterupted sleep! Aiden slept for almost 10 hours straight 8:30pm to 6:15am....Wahooo! I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed as ever today...I love it!

I have so much more to write about, but I can't do it until I uplaod some pictures and have time after work. We had an amazing weekend...it was filled with all kinds of fun events. Stay tuned :)
